Unleashing the potential of design thinking and innovation for a sustainable ecosystem

This session will describe how SOIL School of Business Design, a two-year post-graduate program, is leading the innovation journey in India. This program is focused on working with local communities and ecosystems such as local communities of farmers, NGO’s, Start-ups, etc. to develop the essence of design thinking, social anthropology, sociology of communities, and critical thinking. In addition, how the management education, liberal arts, and design thinking journey is embedded in the program. It would be interesting to know how students at this school are leading the Innovation Journey through an Innovation and Design Festival. It is a unique model on how a design school taking inspiration from Stanford design school has created an impact in India.

About Dr. Jha

Professor Bidyanand Jha is a student of marketing and has rich experience of teaching, research, and consultancy. He is a Ph.D. in social media marketing and has been discussing courses such as Strategic Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Sales Management, Digital Marketing, Consumer Analytics and Social Media Analytics. His research publications are listed in ABDC category journals. He has won 5 best research paper awards. He has been involved in training and consultancy assignments with organizations such as Hindustan Times, Deccan Herald, Cummins India, Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd, Kirloskar Pneumatics Pvt. Ltd., Kirloskar Chillers Pvt. Ltd, Toyota Kirloskar Pvt. Ltd, and Innoserv Digital. He is a certified assessor for CII-Exim Business Excellence Model and Industry 4.0 Practices. He has been working in the field of outcome-based education and quality accreditation.
